The multi-tiered, foot waterfall is one of the highlights of the whitewater trip that doesn't involve plunging into a raging torrent of water. Whether you camp there or not, a wonderful falls is located within a half-mile of the campground, King Creek Falls. The shorter trail named after the falls is about two miles with long, steep sections. Raven Rock Falls is on the way and it's in this section also.
Most of them can be reached by trail with only moderate effort. Each year, my Venture Crew, the co-ed branch of Scouting, spends Labor Day weekend camping in the mountains and playing in at least six waterfalls. Reece Place Falls and Graveley Falls are 2 more that are fairly well known and folks have been going to them in the past few years even though the land has been closed to the public.
